How will I know if a transaction made with Apple Pay was declined?

If your transaction was declined when using Apple Pay, you will get a notification from your Card and your Apple Wallet letting you know. In most cases, your Card will also let you know the reason for the decline via email.

Please ensure your transaction notifications are enabled, and keep in mind that we might not be able to always give exact declines reasons (e.g., the merchant declined the transaction before reaching us, security reasons).
